An easy and effective way to keep your system cleansed is to set aside one day a week for a detox or 3 days every couple of months. Here is a delicious and simple way to do it. Recipes are below.
First, be mentally prepared to give up food that are congesting, addicting or create imbalances such as : white sugar, artificial sweeteners, breads and flour products, fats except some avocado, alcohol, dairy, eggs, meats, fish, caffeine for one day.
Second, prepare in advance to have the ingredients you need (see recipes).
Upon arising, drink one quart of lemon water during the course of one hour or so before you eat. This doesn't mean glug the whole thing down at once. Take 2 or 3 swallows at a time while you do morning practice and get organized for the day.
For breakfast make yourself a low-glycemic smoothie.
For lunch have the vegetable puree.
For dinner have another smoothie or a variation of the vegetable puree.
Between meals drink the lemon water and have 2-3 cups of herbal tea.
Moving your body is essential for working the lymphatic system and aiding all the organs of elimination.
2 QUARTS OF LEMON WATER
Juice of one lemon 2 quarts of natural spring water
Squeeze lemon juice into water. Optional: 4-5 drops stevia or Agave Nectar
Drink the first quart over the course of one hour or so before eating in the morning. This will provide a great flush for the liver and kidneys.
Sip the second quart over the course of the day.
Herbal teas can aid your cleanse. Don’t overdo It because the liver has to process herbs just as it processes food, medication and toxins.
